CLARE TESTONI is a writer, puppeteer, and actor. Her performance practice often involves shadows, puppetry, and projection.
Recent works include, 'The Double', ‘Tale of Tales’ (winner of Best Production at The Blue Room Awards), ‘The Beast and The Bride’, and children’s show ‘West of The Moon’.
Clare has trained as a puppeteer with Spare Part Puppet Theatre, at the International Shadow Puppetry Institute in Bamberg, Germany, and in digital puppetry with Studio Mcguire (U.K).
As a performer and camera operator, she has recently worked on ‘Le Nor’ and ‘Stay With Us’ with The Last Great Hunt, as well as ‘EXCLUSIVE’ and ‘The Second Woman’ with Nat Randall.
In 2016 she was a member of the Black Swan Emerging Writers group, and in 2017 she was part of the First Hand Emerging Puppetry initiative of Spare Parts Puppet Theatre.
Clare is also the writer and presenter of Singing Bones, a podcast that explores the histories of folktales.
Originally from Sydney, Clare is currently based in Fremantle Western Australia.
